Many of the designers currently working for Bauer Graphics got their start building the Game Crazy brand back in 1999. Since then the team has gone on to develop art, designs and collateral for many of the biggest names in the games business including Activision, EA, Nintendo, Sony, Sega and more.
There are few design studios out there that have had a front row seat into the building, maintenance and growth of a retail entity. From the start in 1999 our team put together flyer and window vinyl for the original Game Crazy stores. As the stores grew so did the workload and by the time the store hit 72 locations our designers were building ADVO, FSI, and staple bound periodicals for the growing chain.
At that point the team was given the opportunity to develop and maintain the web site at www.gamecrazy.com. For seven years we developed online marketing collateral for Game Crazy which included email blasts, newsletters, loyalty programs, podcasts, sidebar/banner ads and more. In 2007 the Game Crazy site was generating more than 70,000 unique users per month and had a created a specialized loyalty program based on their highest spend customer called “The Asylum.”
In the years our designers worked with Game Crazy, there were hundreds of images, designs, marketing programs, promotions and collateral pieces developed to enhance their brand. At it’s peak of nearly 700 stores, Game Crazy was the second largest games retail chain in America and we were absolutely privileged to be part of it.
